AMAZONITE - blue green - Amazonite comes in variations of turquoise, blue/green or green streaked with white. It can be found in USA, Canada, Russia, Brazil, Africa and Austria.  This is a good stone for balancing the nervous system, heart and throat areas of the body and to help enhance communication. Amazonite was named after the Amazon where it was first found. It is a good stone to be kept in the bedroom, close to one’s pillow or in the bathroom. It loves water and its healing energies are enhanced when placed in a pond of waterfall or in the bath. Amazonite is said to block geopathic stress and protect us from electromagnetic pollution, such as microwaves. It can be taped to a cell phone or placed between the person and the source of pollution. It is soothing for brain and nervous system and helps one overcome negativity or worry. Traditionally associated with St Valentine, a stone of love and friendship and a fortunate gem for lovers and friends. AGATE (GREEN MOSS) - (clear or cloudy, with green, fern-like patterns). For new friendships, connectedness and emotional ease.  A stone of good fortune, health and long life. ANGELITE - powder blue - Angelite is believed to strengthen our connection with the angels and  to bring angelic influences into one's life. Also said to be healing for lung or back problems, headaches, broken bones, allergies, hyperactivity or stress and heart conditions. APATITE - (blue) Said to help conditions of the bones and joints and to encourage healthy eating and slimming. A gem for improved communication and physical and mental harmony. Said to be beneficial for public speakers when worn close to the throat. See Apatite jewellery.

BLOODSTONE - (Usually dark Green, often with red flecks) A variety of Jasper. For idealism and for strengthening the will to do good.  Helps those inclined to extremes, wards off harmful vibrations, calms negative emotions and encourages a pleasant disposition. CARNELIAN (or Cornelian)  - Colour: Orange/deep orange red (sometimes with darker flecks). Believed to encourage friendship and cheerfulness and to protect from evil, to ground energies and concentration and to strengthen family love. Also used for understanding and vigour, overcoming negativity, bringing wisdom and combating depression and sluggishness. CELTIC GREEN MARBLE - Celtic Green  or Connemara Marble was formed over 500 million years ago and is unique to the region of Connemara, County Galway in Western Ireland where it is mined in quarries which underlie the 12 Ben mountains.  This marble is formed of interlocking bands of serpentine in varying shades of light and dark green from light to dark . It has been used as a stone of exchange and in the making of fixtures for stately buildings and is valued for its beautiful colour and resilience. No two pieces are alike. For many generations, Connemara marble has been used as a traditional gift of friendship between families.  This gem is often carried as a worry stone, to bring inner peace, serenity and self control and to ensure good luck in undertakings. GARNET - deep red - Believed to help in the development of clairvoyance and to help the mind to be pure, hopeful, cheerful, confident, honest, frank, faithful and sincere. GOLDSTONE - Golden brown or deep blue with shimmer - This is a manmade gemstone but still beautiful and still possessed of special properties. LABRADORITE - Mossy green with rainbow highlights - Psychic development, strength and originality. Labradorite is a variety of feldspar. Its name comes from its discovery in Labrador, Canada, although much gem grade material now comes from Madagascar. Labradorite shimmers with am incredible  play of colour (called labradorescence) in gold, blue, red & green. This ethereal quality reminds one of a tropical butterfly’s wings. These beautiful iridescent colours are created by tiny layers of crystals lying side by side and head to heel.
