Aragonite is a form of calcium carbonate and is related to calcite. The name Aragonite comes from Spain where it was first found. This stone is said to bring a feeling of stability and a grounding of the emotions which is one reason why is is traditionally given as a gift to the young, to help them stabilise their emotions.
